I don’t mind not fitting in, but I want to find my place in the world. I think we all need our place in the world for the sake of our happiness and well-being.

Sometimes it feels like I am drifting through life underwater. In these moments, my head can’t think straight, and incoming sounds are fuzzy and meaningless.

I feel lost and directionless in times like this, like a feather drifting on the breeze with no purpose or destination.

But it wasn’t always like that. My pendulum has swung in the opposite direction to the busy existence I led for many years.

I used to get more done in a day than I now do in a week. And I’m still pretty productive! I’ve come to realise my old busyness and productivity were nothing to be proud of.

Busyness is a trauma response. But not having enough purpose and fulfillment in your life can lead to depression. So how do we get the balance right?
